When Charles Doell, Chief Designer at the Mr. Important Design firm sought to create a ‘gold, crystalline’ vibe for his newest project on the strip, he immediately thought of Daniel Ogassian, the creative force behind the prolific Ogassian studio.  

The Challenge

The Plan

A golden serpentine entry-way to dramatically entice nightclub patrons to the extravagance within.

The Players

Charles, with a broad design knowledge and a stellar history of Las Vegas design work paired perfectly with Daniel, a gem of product development and manufacturing prowess.  The two teamed together to create a gold-glazed tile with an asymmetric facet.  

The Execution

Once installed, the tiled surface came to life in a light show of colors and shadows, reflections and shapes, rich patterns and textural depth.  Each faceted tile, rotated to a different angle casts random light creating the illusion of movement, building on the sinewy stretch from the dance-floor to the door.  Is it inviting?  Oh yes.  Is it Las Vegas?  You bet.
